has recently launched Zumtra (www.zumtra.com), a complete suite of ready
to go online travel solutions. Started in 1998, StudioSmile forayed into
the online travel space some five years ago with their first travel client,
Makemytrip.com, India’s largest online travel portal. “With over 5,00,000
man hours of experience in the online travel space, including offshore
product development for clients in US, UK and Australia, it was finally
the right time for Studiosmile to launch Zumtra,” said Mr.Harish Bahl,

Zumtra is an advanced Internet solution that allows airlines, hotels,
consolidators, travel agencies, cruise liners and other TSPs (Travel Service
Providers) to build user-friendly and effective ecommerce driven travel
website or mobile application. It includes e-Flight Booking Engine, e-Hotel
Booking Engine, Cars and Packages Engine amongst several other modules.
Zumtra’s rapid customization and deployment of the online booking engine
allows TSPs faster turn around time as most of the modules are ready to
go and can be easily customized to suit their requirements. “Our products
are based on multi-tier and XML based architecture, which makes them scalable,
robust and compatible to any kind of system”, said Mr. C.P. Singh, CTO.
Some of Zumtra’s features include searching for real time status on availability
and fares, easy integration with multiple GDS (Global Distribution Systems)
and payment gateways. Zumtra can be integrated to any of the four main
GDS. It allows multiple travel products offered on a travel website to
be included in one single PNR, providing single window management and
control of the bookings. One of the most powerful features of Zumtra is
its Fare Administration Module that enables rules setting and agreement
management.
